Job description

Work with all necessary suppliers and departments to gather the content needed to support all O'Reilly systems that utilize product information. Work to enhance the user product experience for all areas involving product related content. Product content is defined as any piece of information pertaining to our products and brands that is required or enhances the selling experience.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

Collect and circulate supplier vehicle application data (aka eCat data) to support O'Reilly Electronic Product Catalog (EPC). Follow up and track suppliers to ensure we are receiving monthly updates of vehicle application information.

Collect and circulate digital asset information. Digital assets are considered to be any electronic document that contains information about the products that we offer for sale. This includes, but is not limited to, photos of the product, marketing brochures, installation instructions, schematics, etc. Work with suppliers and all necessary departments to ensure we have complete and accurate digital asset information.
Collect and circulate additional product information required to sell product in an Online or Graphical point of sale (POS) environment. This includes, but is not limited to, more robust product and brand descriptions, product features and benefits, attributes, installation instructions, cross sells or related products, etc. Follow up and track suppliers to ensure we are receiving frequent and timely updates.
Work with suppliers to identify and classify non application/universal products to the appropriate part types in the catalog.
Main point of contact ensuring we are receiving the necessary information related to product content and the industry standards, such as, PIES, ACES, and any other data needed to guarantee our electronic catalog functions are at the maximum potential.
Ensure we are maximizing the Product Content that is being displayed throughout all O'Reilly Systems, while continually innovating new methods of data collection and presentation. This is obtained by collecting, circulating, maintaining, and constantly improving product content we currently have, as well as, obtaining any new additional content from suppliers.

SKILLS/EDUCATION/KNOWLEDGE/EXPERIENCE/ABILITIES

Required:

Professional verbal and written communication skills.
Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
Self-starter who can prioritize and manage multiple projects while working with multiple departments.
Strong automotive product knowledge, understanding of automotive theories and repair procedures.
Thorough knowledge of automotive parts cataloging or parts counter experience.
Thorough understanding of computers and desktop applications required but not limited to Microsoft Office Suite.

Desired:

Associate or bachelor degree in business or computer science or equivalent work experience.
Previous work experience in eCatalog content processing.
Previous work experience in digital image editing and manipulation.
Understanding of the Auto Care Association standards for content delivery.

Practical SQL work experience.
