Job description

We are seeking a detail-oriented Configuration Management Specialist to support configuration and product data integrity across the lifecycle of complex technical systems. This role supports configuration documentation, change control, technical data accuracy, and cross-functional coordination across engineering, logistics, integration, and depot stakeholders.
Candidates with experience in Navy/DoD configuration management, integrated logistics support, technical data management, engineering change processes, or related product support disciplines are encouraged to apply. Direct MBPS experience is preferred, but strong related experience will be considered.
Requirements
• Develop, maintain, and support Configuration Overhaul Plans (COPs), ILS certifications, and related configuration documentation.
• Manage configuration data to ensure documentation is accurate, reviewed, traceable, and properly implemented.
• Utilize ERP, PLM, or related product/configuration data systems, such as iPDM, Windchill, or comparable tools.
• Coordinate with engineering, integration, depot, logistics, and program stakeholders to maintain alignment on configuration requirements.
• Review engineering drawings, technical specifications, and related documentation to ensure products reflect the correct configuration baseline.
• Support configuration audits and documentation reviews to verify compliance with established requirements and standards.
• Implement and maintain sound data management practices to preserve the integrity and traceability of product data.
• Support engineering change and baseline management activities as required.
Required Qualifications
• Experience in configuration management, technical data management, integrated logistics support, product support, or a closely related field.
• Experience supporting complex technical, mechanical, electro-mechanical, or defense-related systems.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, technical documentation, and change records.
• Experience using ERP, PLM, or other controlled data/configuration systems.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to work across functional teams.
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience with Model Based Product Support (MBPS).
• Experience with Configuration Overhaul Plans, ILS certifications, or related Navy configuration documentation.
• Experience supporting Navy or other DoD programs.
• Experience with engineering change processes, configuration status accounting, or audit support.
• Experience with iPDM, Windchill, or similar systems.
• CM certifications such as CMTF III, CMII, or equivalent.
