Job description

This position supporting Hoffman products presents an outstanding chance to join a top-notch team driving innovation and exceptional execution. You will collaborate closely with our sales team, providing your technical expertise to ensure the successful implementation of customer solutions. Your role will play a vital part in delivering outstanding results, from the initial proposal strategy meetings to the final project handoff.

What you will experience in this position:

  • Review RFPs, specifications, email communications, and drawings to align solution and product compliance.

  • Provide technical assistance to customers, sales managers, engineering, and estimating teams with product selection and competitive cross-references.

  • Participate in key customer meetings, including site visits, presentations, proposal clarifications, and project kick-off meetings.

  • Convert customer challenges into product solutions through feature mapping, selection tools, and content that informs buyer decisions.

  • Ensure technical compliance and accuracy in quotes and develop compelling proposal documents and customer value propositions.

  • Support new product development, product introductions, and product improvements by analyzing and presenting product development needs internally.

  • Lead creation of user documentation, such as whitepapers, specification guides, and application training tools, with the intent of broadening knowledge of customers and internal partners.

YOU HAVE:

  • A Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or related field of study

  • 5+ years of related experience in application engineering or a related technical customer-facing role

  • Experience in the industrial or infrastructure market in a technical role

  • Proficiency or experience with Industrial control equipment such as DCS Systems, LV/MV Switchgear, Relay Panels, MCCs, or VFDs preferred

  • Expertise in crafting drawing layouts and collaborating on multiple projects simultaneously

  • Strong product presentation, communication skills, and technical competence

  • Outstanding customer service and follow-up capabilities

  • Willingness to travel occasionally

Pay Transparency
nVent's pay scale is based on the expected range of base pay for this job and the employee's work location. Employee pay within this range will be based on a combination of factors including knowledge, skills, abilities, experience, education, and performance. Where federal, state, or local minimum wage requirements exist, employee pay will comply.
Compensation Range:

$89,300.00 - $165,800.00

Depending on the position offered, employee may be eligible for other forms of compensation, such as annual incentives.
