DESCRIPTION SUMMARY

The Warehouse Manager is responsible for managing the loading and off-loading of construction materials and to maintain an organized inventory in our warehouse. The primary focus is be inventory accuracy and warehouse cleanliness. This position will gather, prep, load materials, perform inventory, keep detailed documentation, and put away any returned material. Other daily responsibilities include maintaining a clean warehouse at all times, unloading inbound freight trucks, participating in monthly inventories, and completing other tasks assigned.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Manages warehousing functions including the shipping/receiving and storage of raw materials and finished goods, in addition to special projects and activities under the warehouse operations scope of responsibility.
  • Oversees stock control and the processing of all order types, tasks, and system transactions.
  • Produces regular reports and statistics on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis.
  • Maximizes quality by reducing variability throughout our operations. Makes recommendations based on the analysis of various data provided.
  • Continuously improves and achieves or surpasses budget results with respect to safety, waste, efficiencies, speed, quality, downtime, cost, and other performance measures.
  • Tracks expenditures and variances and reports on them.
  • Communicates on a regular basis through communication meetings as well as departmental, staff and other meetings.
  • Responds to customer related issues, opportunities and builds strong relationships.
  • Works with various cross divisional teams for planning future warehouse capacity requirements.
  • Develops and approves recommendations to change systems, policies and procedures; ensure timely and accurate implementation.
  • Oversees and handles projects that have short to long term focus.
  • Observes recycling guidelines and limits waste of materials and supplies.
  • Performs other duties as assigned

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelors Degree in any field with 1 years warehouse experience ~OR~
  • Associates Degree in any field with 3 years warehouse experience ~OR~
  • High School Diploma or GED Equivalent with 5 years warehouse experience
  • Valid state drivers license
  • Forklift certification
  • Must be able to start work at 5:00AM
  • Must be able to show proof of eligibility to work in the United States


PREFERRED:

  • Bilingual in English and Spanish
