JOB TITLE: Night Shift Warehouse Manager (Bilingual Spanish)                                                                       

REPORTS TO: General Manager

CLASSIFICATION:  Permanent, Exempt 

POSITION LOCATION:  Powder Springs, Atlanta

Client  is a leading marketer and distributor of fresh produce, frozen and dry food, and non-food products to primarily Asian/Chinese restaurants and other foodservice customers throughout the United States. With 17 distribution centers strategically located throughout the nation, company aims to supply the increasing demand for Asian American restaurant cuisine.

Capitalizing on its deep understanding of the Chinese culture and with over 1,000 employees supported by two outsourced call centers in China, Company Group has become a trusted partner serving more than 15,000 Asian restaurants in 46 states and provides round-the-clock sales and service support to its customers who mainly converse in Mandarin or Chinese dialects.

PRIMARY FUNCTIONS: 

The Night Shift Warehouse Manager will oversee the daily workflow of the night shift warehouse crews and ensure that all warehouse activities are carried out efficiently and profitably.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Schedules and organizes staff to ensure proper staffing of all shifts
  • Hires and trains new warehouse employees
  • Conducts performance evaluations that are timely and constructive
  • Handles discipline and termination of employees as needed and in accordance with company policy
  • Completes all required management reports
  • Executes maintenance activities when needed
  • Organize pallets and other support materials in a safe manner
  • Communicate warehouse concerns and safety issues to the general manager
  • Abide by all policies, rules, and regulations of the company including all applicable federal, state, local, and company safety rules, regulations, and procedures
  • Support corporate programs, goals, and initiatives of the company
  • Other duties as assigned by management

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Basic understanding of records, inventories, and other routine documentation used in warehouse
  • Thorough understanding of applicable federal, state, local, and company safety policies
  • Thorough understanding of warehouse policies and procedures
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Excellent time management skills
  • Bilingual Spanish is REQUIRED, as this role will frequently communicate with English and Spanish stakeholders
  • Drug Screening will be REQUIRED

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: 

  • Must be able to complete various activities in the warehouse that may require hours of lifting, standing, and carrying.
  • Must be able to work night shift schedule, 1:30 AM to 10 AM Work Schedule, Monday to Saturday

EDUCATION AND/OR TRAINING:

  • High School diploma or equivalent required
  • 3+ years of warehouse experience, food product related experience is a plus
  • 3+ years of experience working with cooler/freezer storage
