Job description

Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and collaborative Procurement Operations Analyst to support critical supply chain and pricing functions within the organization. This role is responsible for managing inventory across our network while executing and maintaining pricing strategy to support broader business goals.


Inventory Management

In this capacity, the Analyst will own day-to-day purchasing activities, maintain inventory accuracy, and cultivate strong vendor relationships. The role also contributes to strategic planning initiatives, supports continuous process improvement efforts, and helps ensure pricing strategies remain aligned with overall business objectives.

Pricing

The Analyst will be responsible for executing and maintaining pricing strategies that drive sales growth, optimize gross profit, and improve operating margins. This includes leveraging data-driven insights to evaluate pricing performance, monitor competitive market trends, and ensure consistency in pricing across product categories and distribution channels.

Responsibilities
  • Manage daily inventory functions, including order placement, vendor invoicing, and stock level maintenance.
  • Execute pricing strategies aligned with organizational goals for sales, gross profit, and operating margin.
  • Serve as a primary point of contact for vendor communication, including issue resolution and ongoing coordination. 
  • Support strategic inventory planning and purchasing decisions in collaboration with cross-functional team members.
  • Continuously evaluate pricing effectiveness and recommend adjustments based on performance metrics. 
  • Assist with competitive pricing updates and product sourcing to align with company goals for market positioning and profitability. 
  • Review and interpret reports to maintain ordering accuracy, streamline workflows, and support operational performance.
Physical Requirements
  • Work is performed while sitting/standing and interfacing with a personal computer.
  • Requires the ability to communicate effectively using speech, vision, and hearing.
  • Requires the regular use of hands for simple grasping and fine manipulations.
  • Requires occasional bending, squatting, crawling, climbing, and reaching.
  • Requires the ability to occasionally lift, carry, push, or pull medium weights, up to 50lbs.
Remote Work Qualifications
  • Access to a reliable and secure high-speed internet connection. Cable or fiber internet connections (at least 75mbps download/10mbps upload) are preferred, as satellite connections often cannot support the technologies used to perform day-to-day tasks.
  • Access to a home router and modem.
  • A dedicated home office space that is noise- and distraction-free. The space should have strong wireless connection or a wired Ethernet connection (wired connection is preferred, if possible).
  • A valid, physical address (apartment, suite, etc.). PO Boxes are not supported, as a physical address is required for you to receive your computer equipment.
  • The desire and ability to work and communicate with other team members via chat, webcam, etc.
  • Legal residents of one of the following states: (AK, AL, AR, AZ, CT, DE, FL, GA, IA, ID, IN, KS, KY, LA, MD, ME, MI, MN, MO, MS, MT, NC, ND, NE, NH, NM, NV, OH, OK, PA, SC, SD, TN, TX, UT, VA, VT, WI, WV, or WY). H-1B Visa Sponsorship Not Available, W2 only.
Experience
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve basic problems independently. 
  • Understanding of supply chain or procurement functions and how day-to-day decisions impact inventory and fulfillment performance. 
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and general familiarity with reporting tools; ability to learn and navigate internal systems and databases. 
  • 0-3+ years of experience in pricing, procurement, finance, or analytics
Education

  • Effective communicator—both written and verbal—with excellent attention to detail and organizational skills. 
  • Comfortable working in a dynamic, fast-paced environment while prioritizing tasks and managing time effectively.

  • Familiarity with pricing tools, ERP systems, or business intelligence platforms (e.g., Power BI)
  • Understanding of pricing strategies and margin optimization techniques
