Overview

Are you a strong negotiator with a passion for optimizing resources and maximizing value?ย  As a Deputy Procurement Manager, you will direct and coordinate procurement activities within our project.ย Collaborate with industry experts and committed teams to negotiate with suppliers and implement strategic sourcing initiatives that align with our goals. Your expertise will be essential in optimizing procurement processes and driving strategic partnershipsย 

The SR400 Express Lanes Project is a transformative $4.6 billion infrastructure initiative led by SR400 Constructors, a 50/50 joint venture between Flatiron Dragados and ACCIONA. Commissioned by the Georgia Department of Transportation (GDOT) and Georgia State Road Tollway Authority (SRTA), the project will add two 16-mile express lanes from Sandy Springs MARTA Station (Exit 5) to McFarland (Exit 12), enhancing mobility along one of Georgia's busiest corridors. With a peak workforce of over 500, the project also includes dedicated bus rapid transit stations and key bridge refurbishments. Construction is set to begin in late 2025, with substantial completion anticipated in 2031.

What you will be doing
  • Oversees procurement activities within the project.
  • Negotiates commercial terms and conditions with material vendors and subcontractors while consulting with legal department and senior management.ย 
  • Manages the qualification and evaluation process for vendors of materials, subcontractors, and service providers.ย 
  • Communicates and enforces procurement policies and procedures to the district and project teams.ย 
  • Oversees the development and review of all procurement analytics, reporting and deliverables.ย 
  • Manages the maintenance of records of goods ordered and received; oversees all Accounts Payable reconciliation.ย 
  • Monitors and oversees execution of the purchasing buyout.ย 
  • Prepares reports and correspondence as needed.ย 
  • Facilitate RFPs and collaborate with preconstruction team on new opportunities and current projects.ย 
What we are looking for
  • Bachelor's Degree in a Business, Supply Chain, Construction Management or Engineering preferred.ย ย 
  • 5+ years' experience in heavy civil construction procurement required. ย 
  • Skilled in contract negotiations and legal terminologyย 
  • Extensive knowledge of the construction industryย ย 
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Power Point, Word, Excel) with general knowledge of database utilization. JD Edwards E1 World experience is a plus.ย 
  • Ability to perform multiple tasks efficiently and accuratelyย 
  • Leadership and influencing skills required. Able to identify, track and communicate project plan steps and actions.ย ย 
  • Team player with the ability to also work independently to meet fixed deadlines, goals and objectives.ย ย ย
