About the Role The Purchasing Agent is responsible for ensuring the efficiency of purchase orders, maintaining strong vendor relationships, monitoring product demand, and collaborating effectively with customers and internal teams. Key Responsibilities * Ensure purchasing and order processes run smoothly and efficiently
* Maintain strong relationships with current vendors and buyers
* Communicate product updates, new offerings, and company promotions to vendors
* Evaluate sample products, prepare and approve requisitions, and ensure adequate supply levels
* Research and identify new vendors; negotiate pricing, quality, and delivery timelines
* Partner with sales and marketing teams to assess product performance and recommend adjustments
* Monitor product demand and identify opportunities to increase vendor and buyer engagement
* Take corrective action when defective or incorrect goods are received
