Job description

Position Overview

Under the direction of the Production Manager, the Machine Operator will be responsible for performing the set-up, operation, and cleaning of raw material processing equipment. This position will operate all main processing and extraction equipment according to established Quality standards.

Shift

2nd Shift: 1:00 pm - 11:30 pm, Monday-Thursday, or as job responsibilities require.

Pay

$23.63 - $25.38/hr + 1.50 Shift Premium 

Functions
  • Operate all Main Processing and extraction equipment as outlined in the Master Manufacturing Record (MMR) following Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP's) and Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s)
  • Monitor quality of product by performing all relevant quality control checks
  • Maintain and record all required documentation (instrument readings, gauge checks, etc.)
  • Monitor machine operations and implement corrective action as needed
  • Troubleshoot machine and product related issues; communicate these issues to supervisor/lead
  • Perform machine changeovers and sanitations while also maintaining a clean work area
  • Verify critical equipment per the calibration program as required
  • Perform job duties in a manner that meets company Quality and Safety standards
QualificationsEducation

  • Forklift certification preferred
