The Advanced Manufacturing Engineering Manager is a strategic and hands-on leader responsible for driving manufacturing excellence across fabrication, paint, tooling, and maintenance operations. This role ensures that our production systems are designed, optimized, and maintained to support scalable growth, world-class quality, and operational efficiency. The AME Manager leads a high-performing team of engineers and technicians, integrating advanced manufacturing systems into our Lean Operating System to achieve sustained competitive advantage.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Education: Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related technical field (Master's preferred).
Experience: 8+ years of progressive manufacturing engineering experience, with at least 3 in a leadership role. Proven expertise in fabrication and paint processes, tooling, automation, and equipment reliability. Strong background in Lean manufacturing, process capability, and continuous improvement methodologies. Demonstrated success leading cross-functional teams and developing high-performing engineering talent.
Travel: Up to 25% depending on business needs.
Work Schedule: Typical work hours are between 7:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. Monday - Friday. Works a sufficient schedule to meet the expectations of the role.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Leadership & Strategy
  • Lead the Manufacturing Engineering function, providing vision, direction, and development for the ME team.
  • Build and sustain a culture of problem-solving, continuous improvement, and ownership aligned with our Lean Operating System.
  • Partner with Operations, Industrial Engineering, and Design Engineering to ensure seamless New Product Introduction (NPI) into manufacturing.

Fabrication & Paint Systems
  • Own the technical performance and advancement of fabrication and paint systems, ensuring they meet safety, quality, cost, and delivery requirements.
  • Develop and implement automation, robotics, and digital manufacturing technologies where applicable.
  • Establish process capability, preventive maintenance programs, and continuous improvement initiatives for these core systems.

Tooling & Equipment
  • Define, source, and maintain production tooling, fixtures, and equipment to ensure repeatability, efficiency, and ergonomic safety.
  • Drive standardization of tooling solutions across products and facilities.
  • Partner with suppliers for advanced tooling innovations and integration.

Maintenance & Reliability
  • Establish a proactive Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) program to maximize uptime of critical equipment and systems.
  • Lead root cause analysis (RCA) and corrective actions for equipment failures or chronic reliability issues.
  • Drive digital tools and data-driven decision making in maintenance strategy.

Operational Excellence
  • Champion Lean manufacturing principles to eliminate waste, reduce variability, and increase flow.
  • Lead process design and optimization for new product and process launches.
  • Collaborate with Quality Engineering to ensure robust process controls and compliance to standards.
  • Performs other related duties as required and assigned.
