What We Need:
We are looking for an Engineering Manager to join McCLARIN Composites at our Hanover, PA location.
As the Engineering Manager, you will be responsible for organizing, managing, coordinating, measuring and continuously improving the engineering processes. Ensures that consistent policies and practices are employed across multiple disciplines and product categories. Directs the planning, identification and development of product technologies to support the Company's long-range business plans. Establishes criteria and processes for recruiting, training and career development of engineering staff.
A Day in the Life of:
  • Develop, teach and champion design engineering procedures, tools and techniques
  • Participate in design engineering reviews of project tasks
  • Overseeing the complete tooling lifecycle-from engineering release and concept development to production handoff, tryouts, and predictive maintenance
  • Coach to ensure informed decisions are being made concerning technical content of projects
  • Remain up to date on best practices and recommend new approaches/tools
  • Interface with customers to determine and validate requirements
  • Develop customer quotations to support the request for development, prototyping, tooling, and production.
  • Maintain a quote progress report and log to ensure and communicate timely completion of customer quotes.

  • Take ownership of product development from conception through production to ensure we meet or exceed operational standards as quoted (ex. labor and materials efficiencies)
  • Provide requisite technical expertise
  • Develop and mentor engineering staff to be highly skilled in the design engineering discipline.
  • Recruit and hire design engineering personnel
  • Actively seek update knowledge of the engineering profession, the industry, and application of new technologies

Requirements
What Makes You Qualified:
  • Bachelors degree from an ABET accredited engineering program or a minimum of 10 years of product engineering experience
  • 5 years of engineering management responsibility in a concurrent engineering environment
  • Experienced in AutoCAD, SolidWorks and application of ANSI drawing preferred

Must Haves:
  • Strong communication, interpersonal and organizational skills with attention to detail
  • In-depth understanding of design, development and manufacturing processes
  • Awareness of Quality policies and location of quality manuals
