Position Summary 

The Associate Data Analyst (Co-op) will support the Data Team in delivering reporting, analytics, data conversion, and quality assurance activities for ISI. This role provides hands-on experience working with insurance data, business intelligence tools, SQL, and client implementations while learning from experienced data professionals. 

The successful candidate will gain exposure to the full software development lifecycle and collaborate with Product, Client Services, Development, and Quality Assurance teams. 


Key Responsibilities: 

Analytics & Reporting 

  • Assist with creating and maintaining reports within ISI Core and ISI Analytics. 
  • Support the development of new reports based on business and client requirements. 
  • Review existing reports and recommend opportunities for improvement. 
  • Help maintain report documentation and user guides. 
  • Perform report validation and testing prior to release. 
  • Assist with troubleshooting report and data issues. 
  • Support Analytics deployment activities. 
  • Assist with customer inquiries related to reporting and analytics. 
  • Learn and explore emerging analytics technologies, including Generative AI and Business Intelligence tools. 



Data Conversion 

  • Support data conversion activities for new client implementations. 
  • Assist in documenting data mapping requirements. 
  • Help prepare and execute data validation queries. 
  • Review converted data for accuracy and completeness. 
  • Participate in conversion testing activities. 
  • Quality Assurance & Business Analysis 
  • Assist in documenting business and reporting requirements. 
  • Support testing of new product enhancements and bug fixes. 
  • Execute test cases and document results. 
  • Identify, document, and report defects. 
  • Participate in team meetings and solution discussions. 



General 

  • Collaborate with Data Analysts, Developers, Product Managers, and Client Services teams. 
  • Maintain accurate documentation for assigned work. 
  • Continuously develop technical and analytical skills. 
  • Contribute ideas for improving reporting processes and team efficiency. 



Qualifications: 

Required 

  • Currently enrolled in a College or University program in: 
  • Computer Science 
  • Data Analytics 
  • Information Systems 
  • Mathematics 
  • Statistics 
  • Software Engineering 
  • Business Technology Management 
  • or a related discipline. 
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. 
  • Excellent attention to detail. 
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills. 
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines. 
  • Eagerness to learn new technologies. 


Technical Skills
