Job Summary

This is a leadership role where the ideal candidate will be responsible for the day-to-day management of complex faculty issues in preparing documents for appointment, reappointment and promotions for submission of accurate dossiers for final review for all Health System Entities. This candidate will conduct appointment and reappointment credentialing meetings for the faculty, ensuring quality and completeness and adherence to UTSW and credentialing agencies guidelines for all faculty. This includes serving as a liaison to search committees for assistance with faculty recruitment, scheduling committee meetings and processing required documentation for the faculty appointments for the Department of Radiology.

 Experience and Education

 High school graduation or equivalent and ten (10) years progressively responsible administrative experience in medical, scientific, or health care environment.

Job Duties
  • Coordinates Departmental Faculty appointment process in large and complex departments;
    • a) Works with Faculty Recruiting to process job requests, postings, and advertising,
    • b) Works closely with the Dean\'s Office Faculty Affairs for all faculty transactions,
    • c) Works with International Office with regards to Visas and Permanent Residency applications,
    • d) Works closely with the Department Chair to prepare the Letter of Intent based on guidelines from the Office of the SMS Dean,
    • e) Coordinates Faculty Onboarding process and
    • f) Assists new faculty with relocation efforts.
  •   Coordinates Departmental Faculty Promotion & Tenure Process as well as the Post-Tenure review process for new and existing faculty. Maintains records of faculty members Coordinates Department annual faculty evaluation process.
  •  Coordinates Department annual faculty reappointment letter process.
  •   May coordinate or supervise all aspects of credentialing/re-credentialing for new and existing faculty.
  •  Coordinates creation/update of faculty websites following established templates and guidelines.
  •   May gather information to ensure compliance of malpractice/risk management for faculty, fellow and residents.
  • May coordinate department faculty conferences and retreats.
  •  May coordinate Departmental Volunteer faculty.
  •   Creates and maintains various reports/spreadsheets for management.
  •  May provide working supervision for staff of lower rank.
