TOPPAN Packaging Americas specializes in designing and manufacturing sustainable, high-performance flexible and thermoformed packaging solutions for the food, beverage, medical and consumer goods industries. Summary Description:
While reporting to the Technical Manager, you are accountable for new business development trials, scale up of new packaging structures, process development for these new items, and specification documentation. Responsibilities may also include equipment maintenance, operations, optimization and efficiency, planning and coordinating maintenance activities, training production operators, documentation of processes and procedures.
What You'll Be Doing
  • Work closely with the plant operations to implement new procedures or processes to improve productivity, reduce scrap, and minimize costs
  • Work closely with the Quality Manager and lab techs when products do not meet specification.
  • Work in teams to improve product quality, or to reduce costs or related projects.
  • Understand equipment functionality and troubleshoot when not performing to expectations.
  • Work with operators to determine best process conditions, maintenance frequencies, etc. to ensure consistent operations.
  • Manage process monitoring through Ei3 by defining critical process parameters and establish acceptable ranges in Ei3.
  • Analyze and facilitate resolution of process problems with process improvement team members.
  • Provide problem solving to plant related production issues.

This position is located at our Franklin, OH Facility and 100% onsite

  • We expect you to have a Bachelor's degree in ChemE, ME, EE, Pkg Eng or other technical field.
  • We are looking for recent graduates or 1-5 years industry experience.
  • It is helpful for the candidate to have a good knowledge of rotogravure printing, extrusion and adhesive laminating, slitting, and laser scoring.
