Job Summary

The Process Manager is responsible for ensuring efficient ore processing and leading site operations to achieve production and cost‑performance targets. This role provides both leadership and technical guidance to the processing team, ensuring safe operations, hands‑on problem solving, and continuous improvement aligned with production plans and organizational standards. Key responsibilities include developing team capability in alignment with company values, as well as overseeing budgeting, production forecasting, planning, staffing, cost control, and overall operational profitability.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities

  • Serve as the site subject matter expert in mineral processing and operational best practices.
  • Maintain a strong field presence to ensure consistent application of operating systems, procedures, controls, and risk‑management practices.
  • Lead and manage processing operations to maximize production efficiency, safety performance, and cost effectiveness.
  • Develop and deliver daily, weekly, and monthly performance reports aligned with operational goals and budget expectations.
  • Identify and recommend short‑ and long‑term improvement initiatives to enhance processing efficiency and reduce operating costs.
  • Drive continuous improvement by optimizing processes, systems, and equipment performance.
  • Coordinate short‑ and long‑term maintenance planning with production requirements, including scheduled downtime activities.
  • Utilize SAP and Microsoft Office tools to support operational reporting, analysis, and data‑driven decision‑making.
  • Perform additional duties as required to support site operations and overall business objectives.

Knowledge, Skills & Experience

Education / Certifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mineral Processing, Metallurgy, Chemical Engineering, or a related engineering discipline strongly preferred.
  • Equivalent combinations of education and demonstrated relevant experience may be considered.

Minimum Experience

  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in the mining or precious metals processing industry.
  • Strong knowledge and hands‑on experience in heap‑leach gold processing, including oversight of:
    • Leach pads
    • Carbon‑in‑Column (CIC) circuits
    • ADR (Adsorption, Desorption, Recovery) plant
    • Metallurgical and assay laboratories
    • Refinery operations and gold recoveries
  • Proven experience in production forecasting and process modeling.
  • Demonstrated success in process optimization and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Strong financial and budget‑management capabilities, including cost control and production optimization.
  • Proven ability to lead safe operations within a heap‑leach processing facility.

Skills / Knowledge

  • Intermediate computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office and Outlook.
  • Experience with SAP.
  • Valid U.S. driver’s license.
  • Ability to speak, read, write, and comprehend English.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to clearly present technical and operational information.
  • High level of accountability, integrity, and commitment to operational excellence.
  • In‑depth knowledge of mining safety, health, and environmental regulations, with a strong commitment to maintaining a robust safety culture.
  • Familiarity with crushing and agglomeration preferred but not required.

The annualy pay range for this position starts at $155,000.00 - $206, 000.00 based on experience
