Job description

Organizational Location: This position is with the Department of Homeland Security, within U.S. Customs and Border Protection, Office of Facilities and Asset Management, Mission Support Facilities Division, 1 vacancy in the following locations:
  • Aliso Viejo, CA

  • Washington, DC
Additional selections may be made for other organizational divisions and/or units within the duty location(s) listed above.Qualifications:Experience GS-13: You qualify for the GS-13 grade level if you possess 1 year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade level, performing duties such as:
  • Providing administrative program leadership, including planning, organizing, coordinating, controlling, and evaluating assigned activities within an organization.
  • Managing program activities related to programming, financial management, budget planning, project control, logistics management, purchasing, and the execution of organizational strategies impacting plans, milestones, and processes.
  • Providing oversight for personnel management, performance management, reviewing staffing, job opportunity announcements, hiring actions, and succession planning.
  • Ensuring programs and processes are covered by internal controls, preventing fraud, waste, and misuse of resources.
  • Identifying and resolving unique issues where no policy exists, taking innovative actions, and providing guidance in the interpretation and application of directives and policy statements with inter-program segment impact.

  • Meet all qualification requirements, including education if applicable to this position, subject to verification at any stage of the application process; and
  • Meet all applicable Time in Grade requirements (current federal employees must have served 52 weeks at the next lower grade or equivalent grade band in the federal service) by 06/24/2026.
