Welcome to The Freelance Firm!
We are a national network of experienced, high-level, freelance attorneys and paralegals who provide remote, on-demand support for both short-term and long-term legal projects for our client law firms.
Due to increased demand, we are now interviewing for a qualified, experienced, and dedicated South Florida Probate & Estate Litigation Attorney.
Remote work hours will vary, but are expected to be approximately 20-30 hours per week, with the potential to transition into a full-time opportunity.
Attorney Responsibilities:
  • Handle probate litigation and estate-related disputes
  • Assist with probate administration matters and related proceedings
  • Conduct legal research and draft motions, pleadings, and other legal documents
  • Review case files and assist with litigation strategy
  • Support active matters from inception through resolution
  • Attend hearings and court appearances as needed
  • Collaborate with attorneys and staff to ensure cases progress efficiently
Attorney Requirements:
  • Licensed and in good standing to practice law in the State of Florida
  • Located in South Florida or willing to attend in-person hearings as needed
  • Minimum of 5+ years of probate and litigation experience
  • Probate litigation experience strongly preferred; general litigation experience will also be considered if accompanied by significant probate experience
  • Experience with estate planning and/or guardianship matters is a plus, but not required
  • Strong legal research, drafting, and analytical skills
  • Ability to manage multiple matters efficiently and meet deadlines
  • Organized, detail-oriented, and able to work independently
  • Spanish language skills are a plus, but not required
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience across probate, estate planning, and guardianship matters
  • Experience handling contested probate, trust, or fiduciary disputes
  • Interest in a long-term relationship with the potential to transition into a full-time role
