We are looking for a detail-oriented Paralegal to join an established firm in Baltimore County. This is a unique opportunity to work as a paralegal without the pressure of billable hours and overtime. You will primarily support attorneys and clients in matters involving probate administration, but a background in family law or general civil litigation would be relevant. This role offers the opportunity to work closely with clients throughout the legal process, from gathering key information to preparing documents and keeping matters on track. The ideal candidate is organized, communicates clearly, and can manage multiple priorities with a high level of independence.
Responsibilities:
• Conduct client meetings to gather details needed for estate matters and prepare documentation through each stage of the administration process.
• Prepare, revise, and organize legal paperwork related to family law, probate, and estate planning matters.
• Support attorneys by assembling filings, drafting case-related documents, and coordinating follow-up communications with clients.
• Maintain accurate case records, monitor important dates, and help ensure deadlines are met across active matters.
• Serve as a point of contact for clients, courts, and outside parties, providing clear and effective communication.
• Assist with document management and general administrative support that contributes to the smooth operation of the office.
• At least 2 years of paralegal experience is required.
• Background in probate, family law, or estate planning is strongly preferred.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple assignments efficiently.
• Clear written and verbal communication skills for working with clients and legal stakeholders.
• Ability to work independently, manage priorities, and follow matters through to completion.
• Proficiency in document preparation and case management.
• Willingness to contribute to broader office support when needed.
