Pro Health Cardiology and Consulting Center is actively seeking a dedicated and skilled Physician Assistant specializing in Urgent Care. As an onsite Physician Assistant at our hospital-based facility, you will work a consistent Monday to Friday schedule, with shifts starting at 5:00 PM. Your role will involve engaging with a multidisciplinary team, including physicians, nurses, and administrative staff, to maintain high standards of patient care. Our urgent care setting necessitates a fast-paced, yet supportive atmosphere where communication, teamwork, and compassion are paramount.

• Conduct comprehensive patient evaluations and obtain detailed medical histories to inform clinical decision-making.
• Order and interpret diagnostic tests such as blood work, imaging studies, and lab results to confirm diagnoses.
• Diagnose and manage acute health conditions, ensuring timely treatment for issues ranging from injuries to infections.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans for patients with chronic health concerns, adjusting as necessary based on patient progress.
• Prescribe appropriate medications and monitor their efficacy, adapting treatment plans as needed for optimal patient outcomes.
• Document patient encounters and maintain accurate medical records, ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations and best practices.
• Educate patients and their families on health conditions, preventive care, and lifestyle modifications to promote long-term wellness.
• Encourage adherence to health recommendations and motivate patients to engage in proactive health management.
• Stay informed about new treatment protocols and participate in ongoing professional development activities.

The Physician Assistant role at Pro Health Cardiology will involve providing urgent care to a diverse patient demographic, including adults and children with acute injuries and illnesses. You will be tasked with not only addressing immediate health concerns but also guiding patients toward preventative care and healthier lifestyle choices.

• Completion of a Master’s degree from an accredited Physician Assistant program.
• Current licensure as a Physician Assistant (PA-C) in the state of Illinois.
• A valid DEA number to prescribe medications.
• Demonstrated knowledge of primary and acute care practices, as well as understanding of health regulations.
• Strong interpersonal communication skills for effective interactions with patients and healthcare teams.
• Commitment to ethical standards in patient care and a patient-centered approach.

• Prior experience as a Physician Assistant in urgent care, emergency room, or hospital settings.
• Experience with electronic health record (EHR) systems to streamline patient documentation and care coordination.
• Fluency in a second language is beneficial but not required.

Pro Health Cardiology offers a competitive salary ranging from USD 140,000 to USD 180,000 annually, commensurate with experience.
