What You'll Do 
As a PRN Registered Nurse, you'll play an essential role in each patient's care journey, from pre-procedure prep to post-operative recovery, working closely with physicians and staff to ensure smooth procedures and exceptional patient support.

  • Review and document medical histories, allergies, medications, and procedure details
  • Take and record vital signs
  • Start IVs, prepare patients for procedures, and assist with draping and positioning
  • Monitor patients in recovery and complete required chart documentation
  • Educate patients on medications, procedures, risks/benefits, and post-op instructions
  • Set up procedure rooms with required supplies, trays, and medications
  • Assist physicians during procedures
  • Break down and sterilize rooms between patients
  • Escort patients to and from the recovery area
  • Answer patient questions and resolve concerns
  • Conduct post-procedure follow-up phone calls
  • Collaborate with ancillary nursing staff and provide team-first leadership

Qualifications

  • Current, unencumbered RN license in Indiana required
  • Minimum 1 year of clinical experience required
  • BLS certification required
  • ACLS certification preferred
  • Prior EHR experience preferred
