Join Our Compassionate Hospice Team

VNA Hospice NWI is seeking dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurses (RNs) to join our team at our 6-bed inpatient hospice care center. We are looking for individuals who are passionate about providing exceptional end-of-life care and supporting patients and families with dignity, comfort, and respect.


Whether you are looking for full-time or part-time opportunities, we offer flexible scheduling with day, evening, and midnight shifts available.


Position Summary

The Inpatient Hospice RN provides skilled nursing care to hospice patients requiring symptom management and end-of-life care within our inpatient facility. The RN works collaboratively with an interdisciplinary team to ensure patients receive compassionate, individualized care that promotes comfort and quality of life.


Responsibilities
  • Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care according to hospice standards.
  • Monitor and manage pain and symptoms to ensure patient comfort.
  • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
  • Collaborate with physicians, social workers, chaplains, nursing assistants, and other interdisciplinary team members.
  • Provide emotional support and education to patients and their families.
  • Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation.
  • Respond effectively to changes in patient condition.
  • Ensure a safe, respectful, and supportive environment for patients and families.

Requirements: Qualifications
  • Current Indiana Registered Nurse (RN) license.
  • Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
  • Previous hospice, palliative care, oncology, long-term care, ICU, ER, or acute care experience preferred.
  • Strong assessment, communication, and critical-thinking skills.
  • Compassionate, patient-centered approach to care.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
