Histology Supervisor Day Shift | Full-Time | Phoenix, AZ 85040

A growing private laboratory in Phoenix, Arizona is seeking an experienced Histology Supervisor to lead day-to-day operations within a high-volume histology department.

This is an excellent opportunity for a strong technical leader who is passionate about quality, operational excellence, and developing laboratory staff. The successful candidate will oversee laboratory workflow, ensure regulatory compliance, and support a collaborative team environment focused on delivering accurate and timely patient results.

Responsibilities
  • Supervise daily operations of the Histology Laboratory
  • Monitor workflow, productivity, and turnaround times
  • Ensure compliance with CLIA, CAP, and applicable regulatory standards
  • Train, mentor, and evaluate laboratory personnel
  • Assist with quality assurance and quality improvement initiatives
  • Troubleshoot instrumentation and technical issues
  • Review and maintain laboratory policies and procedures
  • Coordinate staffing schedules and departmental coverage
  • Support inspection readiness and accreditation requirements
  • Collaborate with pathologists, laboratory leadership, and support teams
Qualifications Required
  • HTL (ASCP) Certification
  • Bachelor's degree in a laboratory science or related field
  • Previous Histology laboratory experience
  • Prior supervisory or leadership experience
  • Strong knowledge of histology procedures, quality control, and laboratory regulations
Preferred
  • CAP-accredited laboratory experience
  • Experience managing high-volume histology operations
