Frenchman’s Reserve Country Club, a premier private club in Palm Beach Gardens, is seeking a highly organized and detail‑oriented Staff Accountant to join our accounting team.

Overview

This role collaborates closely with the Controller and department managers to ensure financial accuracy and support the Club’s operational and strategic goals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage all Accounts Receivable functions, including member inquiries, payment processing, and monthly statement preparation.
  • Audit daily chits and post end‑of‑day POS activity to member accounts.
  • Review and analyze monthly aging reports.
  • Assist with daily and monthly bank and general ledger reconciliations.
  • Support month‑end and year‑end closing processes.
  • Maintain fixed asset records and assist with depreciation schedules.
  • Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
  • Prepare monthly account analyses, and support schedules.
  • Monitor general ledger activity for accuracy and compliance with accounting policies.
  • Assist with Accounts Payable and other financial reporting needs.
  • Maintain confidentiality of financial and member information.
  • Perform additional duties and projects as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related experience preferred.
  • Country club or hospitality accounting experience preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office Suite required.
  • Experience with Jonas Club Software preferred.
  • Strong communication skills, attention to detail, and understanding of GAAP.

Physical Requirements

Occasional standing, walking, sitting, stair climbing, and lifting of office supplies up to 20 pounds. Moderate noise level environment.
