Our client, a well-established, upscale private club, is seeking an experienced Controller to join its leadership team. Reporting directly to the General Manager, the Controller will oversee all accounting and finance functions while serving as a trusted business partner to executive leadership.

Key Responsibilities
  • Direct all accounting and financial operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, general ledger, fixed assets, and financial reporting.
  • Prepare accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in a timely manner.
  • Develop and manage annual operating budgets, forecasts, cash flow projections, and financial analysis to support strategic decision-making.
  • Monitor financial performance and provide recommendations to improve operational efficiency and profitability.
  • Coordinate annual audits and ensure compliance with accounting standards, tax regulations, and internal controls.
  • Partner with department leaders to support financial planning and maintain a positive, service-oriented culture.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop members of the accounting and membership teams.
  • Work closely with the Membership Department to ensure accurate member billing, receivables, and record maintenance.
  • Collaborate with the General Manager on membership initiatives, operational planning, and special projects.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance preferred.
  • Minimum of five years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in hospitality, clubs, resorts, or a service-oriented environment.
  • Strong knowledge of financial reporting, budgeting, internal controls, payroll, and cash management.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • High level of integrity with the ability to handle confidential information professionally.
