The Pediatric Urgent Care Physician will be responsible for a wide array of tasks, including but not limited to:

• Providing high-quality patient care within the pediatric clinical area, adhering to Professional Staff Bylaws and organizational policies.
• Engaging actively in quality improvement initiatives and utilizing research findings to enhance clinical practices and patient care outcomes.
• Educating patients and their families about health conditions, treatment options, and preventive care strategies.
• Maintaining detailed and accurate records of all physician services rendered, ensuring proper documentation for care coordination and reimbursement.
• Participating in departmental meetings and contributing to collaborative discussions regarding operational efficiency and service delivery.
• Continuing your professional development through required certifications in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS).
• Other responsibilities as assigned to support organizational goals.

The primary patient population for this role consists of children and adolescents needing urgent care services. This will involve treating a variety of conditions, from minor injuries to acute illnesses, within a friendly and safe environment aimed at making the healthcare experience as comfortable as possible. By tailoring care approaches specifically for younger patients, you will have the opportunity to positively impact their health and emotional well-being.

This position requires the following qualifications:

• A Medical Degree from an accredited medical school.
• Board eligibility or certification in Pediatrics and a valid medical license to practice in Connecticut.
• Current DEA registration and certifications in BLS and PALS.

While no minimum experience is required, candidates with prior experience in pediatric urgent care or similar clinical environments will be viewed favorably.
