Job description

Overview - Direct Hire Role

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Assistant Press Operator to join a leading print company. As an Assistant Press Operator, you will be responsible for supporting the press operation flow and maintaining sheet-fed or web offset printing press.

Schedule - 2, 2, 3 rotating shifts

1st Shift: 7 a.m. - 7 p.m.

2nd Shift: 7 p.m. - 7 a.m.


Responsibilities

  • Set up, operate, and monitor various printing presses to produce high-quality printed materials.
  • Adjust machine settings and perform routine maintenance to optimize print quality and efficiency.
  • Manage color accuracy through effective color management techniques to ensure consistency across all print jobs.
  • Perform cutting, paper binding, and finishing tasks to prepare printed products for delivery or distribution.
  • Insert packing sheets, install plates on press cylinders, use hand/power tools to achieve specific measurements required for printing


Requirements

  • Minimum 1 year proven experience operating industrial printing equipment
  • Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot machine issues quickly.
  • Knowledge of color management principles to ensure accurate color reproduction across different media.
  • Familiarity with print production processes such as cutting, paper binding, layout design, and finishing techniques.
  • Ability to interpret manufacturing documents and technical specifications accurately.
  • Excellent attention to detail with a focus on quality control throughout the production cycle.
