Job description

Job Title: 3D Printed Part Finisher – 3D Printing
Location: Research Triangle Park, NC (Onsite, locals only)
Schedule: Monday – Friday | 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
 

We are seeking a 3D Printed Part Finisher to join BD’s Digital Engineering 3D Printing & Prototyping team in Research Triangle Park, NC. In this role, you will be responsible for cleaning, finishing, and inspecting 3D printed parts used in the development of next-generation medical devices. This is a hands-on role that requires strong attention to detail, excellent hand dexterity, and the ability to work in a dynamic, team-oriented environment.

Responsibilities include:

  • Cleaning and hand-finishing 3D printed parts using standard techniques (sanding, filing, painting, dyeing).

  • Using precision measurement tools (digital calipers, GOM) to ensure accuracy.

  • Performing routine maintenance of 3D printing equipment.

  • Reviewing CAD model files (Magics or similar).

  • Maintaining a safe, clean, and organized lab environment.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma required.

  • 1+ year experience with 3D printed part post-processing or machining.

  • Familiarity with 3D printing technologies (SLA, Carbon/DLS, DLP, PolyJet, FFF) preferred.

  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

  • Ability to lift up to 40 lbs.
