Position Description:
Performs manual tasks related to the operation of the printing press machine, and other related duties as directed by the Printing Department Manager. The Feeder Operator role is an excellent opportunity to work with a team and learn an in0demand trade in a fast-paced environment.
Primary Responsibilities:
โ€ข Operate feeder section on printing press
โ€ข Assist printing operator during maintenance
โ€ข Operate P.I.T. and move supplies and materials in the department
โ€ข Ensure that all stock is prepared properly
โ€ข Maintain production output and
โ€ข Ensure all procedures, work instructions, and order specifications are followed to produce a quality product while maintaining proper product identification
โ€ข Ensure proper Aerator operation by periodically performing preventative maintenance and lubrication requirements, while following manufacturer's guidelines
โ€ข Able to learn Zumbiel computer systems
โ€ข Performs task instructed by the operator
โ€ข Accomplish company goals by accepting ownership and responsibility for accomplishing different requests while exploring opportunities to add value to the organization
โ€ข Complete Daily and weekly cleaning log
โ€ข Other duties as assigned
Education / Experience:
Some experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred.
Communication Skills / Requirements:
Must be able to effectively communicate verbally and in writing with management, peers and other employees. Have active listening skills, attention to detail and follow-through. Must demonstrate tact, professionalism, teamwork, flexibility, an organized approach to work and a positive attitude.
Safety:
All duties to be performed in compliance with the company guidelines and safety policies.
PPE: MUST wear ear plug hearing protection and safety glasses in designated areas.
Must be authorized to work in the United States
