Digital Print Operator

Department: Printing

Reports to: Department Manager

Location: Rochester

Full-Time: Monday through Friday from 6:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.

Pay Schedule: Weekly

Non-exempt: Compensation starts at $39,520-$45,760 annually in Syracuse, NY,

Shift Differential: 2nd Shift, +$1. hour, 3rd Shift, +$2. Hour (Based on hours worked)

Benefits: Begin the first day after the first two full months of employment.

Position Summary

The Digital Print Operator is responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining high-speed digital printing equipment to produce high-quality printed materials. This role requires attention to detail, adherence to production schedules, and collaboration with internal teams to ensure successful execution of print jobs.

Essential Duties

The essential functions include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Operate and maintain digital print production equipment, ensuring output meets quality standards.
  • Review job orders and specifications to determine printing requirements and production schedules.
  • Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on printers to minimize downtime.
  • Monitor print output for accuracy, color consistency, and overall quality.
  • Work closely with the prepress and finishing teams to coordinate job completion.

  • Production accuracy and minimal waste/errors.
  • Equipment uptime and maintenance efficiency.
  • Adherence to production schedules and deadlines.

Additional Responsibilities

Employees may be required to perform duties outside their primary responsibilities or assigned department, as reasonably requested by management. On-Call Requirements

If you are called in to work outside your regular schedule, you are expected to work at least four hours unless otherwise directed by management.

  • Requires frequent standing, walking, crouching, bending, kneeling, lifting, and using repetitive motions of hands or wrists; finger, grasp, handle, or feel; reach with arms and hands for extended periods.
  • Fast-paced, deadline-driven setting requiring the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
