Job description

About Us:

Champro® is a privately-owned sporting goods and apparel manufacturer that has been in business for 30+ years. We deliver high-value, traditional & innovative athletic equipment and apparel via outstanding, integrity-driven customer service. Our business philosophy is focused on our customers and we take pride in providing them with the best overall values in team sports products.

Position:

The Digital Printer Operator plays a key role in the production process, ensuring high-quality prints are produced accurately and efficiently. This position requires a strong eye for detail, technical proficiency with printing equipment and software, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced production environment. The ideal candidate is organized, proactive, and committed to maintaining consistent output standards while supporting a collaborative team environment. Employment for this position is contingent upon successful completion of a background check and drug screening due to the operation of equipment.

Your Role:

As a Digital Printer Operator, you will be responsible for managing the end-to-end printing process—from preparing digital artwork and operating DTF (Direct-to-Film) printers to performing routine maintenance and quality inspections. You’ll work closely with design and production teams to ensure timely, precise, and visually accurate results. This role is hands-on and technical, ideal for someone who enjoys combining creativity with process-driven work.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Machine Operation: Set up, calibrate, and operate DTF printers. Monitor print runs for accuracy, color consistency, and overall quality.
  • Artwork Preparation: Review digital artwork and ensure files are properly formatted, color-matched, and print-ready using RIP software and other graphic tools.
  • Quality Control: Inspect prints for alignment, clarity, and color accuracy. Identify and correct errors to ensure every product meets company and client standards.
  • Maintenance: Conduct daily cleaning, perform regular maintenance, and handle basic troubleshooting to ensure printers operate at peak performance.
  • Material Management: Load and manage transfer films, inks, and other materials. Track inventory and notify supervisors when supplies need replenishment.
  • Workflow Coordination: Collaborate with designers, production staff, and finishing teams to ensure an efficient and coordinated workflow.
  • Record Keeping: Document print settings, color profiles, and project details for future reference and quality consistency.
Skills and Qualifications:
  • Attention to Detail: Exceptional accuracy and consistency when reviewing artwork and final prints.
  • Technical Proficiency: Working knowledge of DTF printers, RIP software, and the printing process.
  • Computer Skills: Comfortable using computers; experience with design programs such as Adobe Photoshop or Illustrator is a plus.
  • Maintenance & Troubleshooting: Ability to perform routine maintenance and identify/resolve common printer issues quickly.
  • Time Management: Capable of handling multiple print jobs simultaneously and meeting tight deadlines.
  • Adaptability: Thrives in a fast-paced, production-oriented environment with shifting priorities.
  • Problem-Solving: Analytical mindset for diagnosing and resolving technical or print-quality issues efficiently.
  • Team Collaboration: Works effectively with others and contributes to a positive, productive team dynamic.
  • Communication: Must be able to speak and communicate in English.
Company Culture:

We are proud to offer eligible associates a full-range of benefits including medical, dental, vision and life insurance, as well as short-term and long-term disability, 401K, Profit Sharing, paid time off, holidays, and reimbursement toward gym membership fees. A collaborative atmosphere working together to exceed our customers’ expectations, as well as, an Equal Opportunity Employer bringing together diverse individuals to develop new and innovative solutions
