Join our team at Angus Media and help us create exceptional print materials for our customers. Tackling any design project you have in mind, from sale books and brochures to special projects. We're looking for a talented Print Media Coordinator/Graphic Artist who can bring quality and innovation to our projects.

The American Angus Association is seeking candidates for an experienced and well‐organized Print Media Coordinator/Graphic Artist in its St. Joseph, MO office, to provide the necessary support for the Angus Media print services production team. This position will report to the Angus Media Print Media Team Lead.


The goal is to efficiently facilitate and execute the production of print pieces for Angus Media customers and to maximize the production team’s performance to produce an exceptional customer experience and product.


POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Coordinate print services jobs by communicating with customers and managing sale book schedules.
  • Design layouts for the sale books that complement the breeders current ad campaign or design a new look based on information provided or gathered (breeder’s web site, Facebook, etc.).
  • Work with other coordinator/sale manager/breeder to set visual style of the sale book, making sure it adheres to the branding of Angus Media and the American Angus Association.
  • Communicate relevant information to the production team.
  • Attention to detail, creative design, speed and accuracy.
  • Ensure the accuracy of print materials.
  • Store and sort data in electronic form.
  • Contribute to the company's overarching goals by executing leadership driven strategies.
  • Assist in the preparation, organization and design of promotional material or events.
  • Must be capable of juggling multiple jobs at different stages of completeness as interruptions are frequent. Workload at times is heavy, all with varying deadlines.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.


REQUIREMENTS:
  • Well‐organized and responsible with an aptitude in problem‐solving and multi‐tasking.
  • Must have strong attention to detail, visualizing the final product through the design process.
  • Excellent communication skills required to facilitate collaboration with co‐workers and/or clients.
  • Good computer skills, including good knowledge of Microsoft Office.
  • Knowledge of Adobe Creative Cloud properties (especially InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator and Bridge).
  • Ability to organize, prioritize and execute multiple activities in a fast‐paced environment, meeting regular deadlines.
  • A team player with high level of dedication.
  • Local candidates are preferred, but remote candidates with significant industry experience will also be considered.


EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
  • Bachelor’s degree in graphic arts and/or other applicable fields, or equivalent work experience.
  • Experience as a sales or marketing coordinator or other administrative position would be considered a plus.
  • Certification in sales or marketing would be an asset.
  • An agriculture background, in the beef industry, is preferred.
