AMD is powering the next generation of supercomputing, high-performance computing, cloud, and AI. Whether you’re designing next-gen processors, enabling AI breakthroughs, or creating go-to-market plans, every role at AMD contributes to something bigger — technology that moves the world forward.

THE ROLE:

As a Program Manager in Security IP Team, you will have the opportunity to work with a diverse team of creative engineers and managers within and without the team coordinating and drive the execution of cutting-edge technologies and projects geared to various SOCs programs across all of AMD products. This role provides an excellent growth opportunity for robust individuals looking to make a difference

THE PERSON:

The ideal candidate has a demonstrated ability to lead and deliver large-scale technical projects while effectively solving complex problems using a strong technical foundation. They possess strong verbal and written communication skills and can collaborate effectively with stakeholders across multiple teams and organizational levels. The candidate is highly organized, able to manage competing priorities, and capable of working both independently and as part of a collaborative team. They communicate technical information clearly, are comfortable presenting to diverse audiences, and consistently follow through on commitments and deadlines. Success in this role requires adaptability, sound judgment, and the ability to perform effectively in a fast-paced environment with multiple concurrent priorities.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Project Planning, Execution, and Tracking

  • Develop and maintain detailed project schedules, milestones, and task plans in partnership with Security IP leadership and key stakeholders.
  • Monitor project progress using defined metrics, status reporting, action item tracking, and regular project reviews.
  • Ensure project activities, processes, and documentation are maintained in accordance with established project management frameworks and standards.
  • Identify, assess, and track project risks, issues, and dependencies, and coordinate mitigation plans as needed.
  • Support the delivery of project objectives by tracking scope, timelines, quality targets, and key deliverables.

Stakeholder Communication and Alignment

  • Serve as a primary coordination point between Security IP and SoC teams.
  • Facilitate alignment across teams regarding project schedules, feature delivery, quality objectives, dependencies, and deliverables.
  • Represent the Security IP organization in cross-functional planning, architecture, and program review meetings.
  • Provide regular updates on project status, risks, milestones, and key decisions to leadership and stakeholders.
  • Escalate project issues and risks when appropriate to support timely resolution and informed decision-making.

Program Operations and Continuous Improvement

  • Contribute to the development and implementation of project management processes, tools, templates, metrics, and best practices.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives that enhance project execution, visibility, and operational efficiency.
  • Facilitate effective communication and collaboration across project teams and stakeholders.
  • Coordinate project-related knowledge sharing, training activities, and process adoption efforts.
  • Promote consistent project management practices across teams and programs.

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:

  • Technical background in the semiconductor industry with engineering and/or program management experience.
  • Demonstrated ability to organize, prioritize, and coordinate multiple workstreams while meeting project timelines across cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with geographically distributed teams across different time zones.
  • Experience managing multiple priorities and concurrent projects in a dynamic environment.
  • Working knowledge of Windows and Linux operating systems.
  • Experience with AI tools and collaboration/project management platforms such as JIRA, Confluence, Teams, SharePoint, and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to communicate technical information clearly to diverse audiences.
  • Experience working in Agile development environments; Agile certification is a plus.

ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS:
