Job description

We are looking to build crews where we need to add Laborers, Foreman, Fusers and Operators!! Primoris Distribution Services (PDS), a division of Primoris Services Corporation, is a publicly owned and operated construction contracting company that provides both specific and turnkey services for its customers in the gas, oil, electric and telecommunications industry. Primoris Distribution Services is an industry leader in the installation of gas lines (plastic and steel).

We have immediate openings for a CDL Class A driver with tanker endorsement in Tampa, Orlando, St.Petersburg and Ocala, Florida.


The CDL Class A Driver with Tanker Endorsement position will also consist of driving a lowboy, dump truck and rollback. Driver must be able to operate a manual truck. Position will also consist of operating a mini excavator or other equipment to load on load bow/rollback.
Essential Functions:

  • Work safely while performing new construction, maintenance or repair functions.
  • Contributes to the installation of natural gas infrastructure and appurtenances.
  • Frequently excavates around live gas pipelines and other utilities requiring skill and care to protect life and property.
  • Maintains company vehicles, performs daily safety, maintenance or servicing checks to ensure proper functioning of the equipment.
  • Keep equipment and tools in good working order.
  • Knowledge and experience to apply OSHA competent person standards.
  • Testing and classifying soils
  • Sloping and shoring standards
  • Working knowledge of rigging and material handling practices.
  • Must have the ability to work on a team.
  • Does all other related work as required to complete the job

 Skills and Experience

  • Ability to pass Operator Qualification Testing for Natural Gas work
  • Valid CDL Driver’s License Required
  • Must be able to lift at least 100 lbs.
  • Ability to travel up to 75% of time, with flexible hours inclusive of weekends and holidays

Preferred:

  • 2 – 4 years Natural Gas experience preferred.
  • Mechanically inclined
