Description

As a Pricing Analyst, you will play a critical role in supporting BBI Logistics' sales and operations teams through strategic pricing analysis, market intelligence, and customer bid management. This position is responsible for evaluating freight market conditions, analyzing transportation data, and developing competitive pricing strategies that support profitable growth.


The Pricing Analyst will collaborate closely with Account Executives, Sales Leadership, Carrier Sales, Operations, and other internal stakeholders to provide pricing recommendations for customer opportunities, RFPs, and strategic initiatives. This individual will leverage analytical thinking, attention to detail, and industry knowledge to help BBI remain competitive while protecting margins and driving long-term customer success.


What You'll Be Doing:

  • Analyze freight market trends, ย ย ย ย ย transportation rates, carrier capacity, and industry data to develop competitive pricing strategies.ย 
  • Evaluate customer Requests for Proposal (RFPs), pricing opportunities, and bid packages to support profitable business growth.ย 
  • Develop, review, and maintain pricing models for truckload and other transportation services.ย 
  • Utilize internal and external market intelligence to identify pricing risks, opportunities, and trends.ย 
  • Conduct profitability analysis and provide recommendations to improve margin performance.ย 
  • Manage the end-to-end RFP pricing process, including data collection, pricing analysis, quality control, formatting, ย ย ย ย ย submission, and documentation.ย 
  • Partner with Account Executives and Sales Leadership to develop strategic pricing solutions for prospective and existing customers.ย 
  • Ensure all bid submissions are completed accurately and within required timelines.ย 
  • Track and maintain records of submitted bids, pricing decisions, and customer feedback.ย 
  • Work closely with Sales, Operations, and Leadership teams to develop pricing strategies aligned with customer expectations and market conditions.ย 
  • Assist with customer pricing reviews, renewals, and ongoing contract management.ย 
  • Provide analytical support for strategic initiatives, network optimization, and customer growth opportunities.ย 
  • Collaborate with internal teams to identify and implement process improvements that increase efficiency and accuracy.ย 
  • Create reports, dashboards, and data analyses to support business decisions and pricing strategy.ย 
  • Present findings, recommendations, and market insights to leadership and key stakeholders.ย 
  • Identify opportunities to improve pricing tools, reporting capabilities, and operational workflows.ย 

What We're Looking For:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, Logistics, Finance, Economics, Data Analytics, or a related field preferred.ย 
  • 2-5 years of experience in logistics, transportation, pricing, analytics, finance, or a related field required.
  • Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.ย 
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
  • Experience working with large data sets and reporting tools.ย 
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.ย 
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.ย 
  • Ability to prioritize multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.ย 
  • Knowledge of truckload freight markets and transportation pricing preferred.ย
