What is a retail pricing coordinator?

Retail Pricing Coordinators are professionals responsible for managing and updating product prices in retail stores. Their role is essential in maximizing store profitability while maintaining competitive pricing. What does a retail pricing coordinator do?

A retail pricing coordinator is in charge of monitoring price accuracy for a business. Your responsibilities are to review inventory invoices, ensure the product is received and sold at the correct cost, and utilize point-of-sale systems. Your duties include working in the storefront correcting shelf tags, collaborating with suppliers and clients for a discounted price, implementing a pricing structure, assisting with a price change, and running and analyzing reports. A retail pricing coordinator works at a store level, regional level, and sometimes nationwide, typically in retail but some manufacturers also employ them.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a retail pricing coordinator, and why are they important?
