Looking for a career that's built to last-and a pressroom that's built to perform?
Join the team at Hearst Newspapers, where craftsmanship meets innovation and your leadership makes a tangible impact every night.

We're looking for a hands-on Press Operator and Team Supervisor to lead evening operations at our Big Rapids production facility. What You'll Do:

  • Run a multi-unit printing press safely, efficiently, and with pride
  • Lead and supervise the full evening crew across press, prepress, packaging, and delivery
  • Foster a culture of teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement
  • Troubleshoot on the fly, make decisions under pressure, and ensure deadlines are hit
  • Oversee product quality-registration, color, pagination, bundle integrity
  • Partner with plant leaders and maintenance to keep the press in top condition
  • Train new team members and help build up future leaders
  • Maintain clean, safe workspaces aligned with our strong safety-first culture

What You Bring:

  • Previous press operation and supervisory experience
  • Mechanical aptitude and a can-do attitude
  • Clamp truck certification or willingness to obtain
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills
  • Comfort using technology in a production setting
  • Ability to lead a shift with urgency, focus, and fairness
  • Reliable transportation and readiness to work 5 PM-1 AM

Why Join Hearst Newspapers?
