Responsibilities

Distribution Center Associate responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Be on time and ready to work at the start of shift
  • Unloading of dry goods delivery
  • Warehouse stocking of perishable goods
  • Load and unload storage/transfer trailers
  • "5S" implementation with focus on visual order, organization, cleanliness and standardization
  • Inventory counting and reconciliation
  • Inbound/Outbound Trailer Inspection

Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, labels, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to Supervisor, Peers, and other employees of the organization. Ability to add/subtract and to multiply/divide.

Specific positions require forklift certification or ability to become certified; and/or require a valid driver's license.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use teamwork skills. The employee will occasionally use interpersonal and customer service skills.

This is a safety sensitive position.  This is an on-site position.

Qualifications

Qualified candidates for the Distribution Center Associate position should possess the following:

EXPERIENCE

  • Previous experience with a reach stand up lift
  • Previous experience with a rider pallet jack
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel and reach with hands and arms. The employee is regularly required to climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl and talk or hear. The employee must regularly lift and /or move up to 50 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 75 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds. The employee must be able to perform these functions in Hot/Cold environment, both indoors and outdoors. Specific vision abilities required by this job include distance vision and depth perception.

SAFETY EQUIPMENT:

Hardhat, steel-toed safety boots, earplugs, hairnet, beard net

Must be at least 18 years of age or older.
