The Opportunity

Come leverage your leadership, expertise, and apply for the Premium Audit Field Manager. The Premium Audit Field Manager will be hands-on and tactical focused, responsible for the daily operation and direction of an assigned regional Premium Audit territory. This position will be accountable for supporting initiatives and directives from the Director of Premium Audit, implementing, and executing policies and procedures designed to increase departmental efficiencies while providing stellar customer service to all internal and external stakeholders.

Your WORK as a Premium Audit Field Manager will make a difference as you:

  • Disseminate technical training, foster development of the designated field team, and leverage the team to accomplish objectives and goals
  • Manage and monitor the quality and production of field staff, including periodic ride-along trips to provide hands-on support and coaching
  • Provide external customers (i.e., agents and insureds) and internal customers (i.e., territory managers, underwriting, claims, and accounting) with information to assist their understanding of audit-related matters, including audit statements, procedures, and worksheets
  • Partner with Underwriting, Claims, Premium Accounting, Sales, and other functions to implement proactive solutions for improving results and enhancing the Premium Audit brand to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Assist Underwriting with research to determine proper classifications for new or unusual risks
  • Remain informed of changes and current information relative to premium auditing through discussions with industry experts and review of industry-related literature
  • Ensure quality of audits through proper risk classification and exposure basis identification. Promote and develop high levels of customer service in the designated field team.
  • Lead the talent management of the designated field team including but not limited to conducting interviews, hiring, coaching, performance management, and performance reviews to build the best team possible

SKILLS to get the JOB done RIGHT:

  • Bachelor's degree and at least 5 years of insurance, premium audit, underwriting, claims, and industry experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Must be able to communicate effectively, both written and verbally, with all levels of the organization and its business partners.
  • A reasonable understanding of Underwriting and Premium Audit principles
  • Excellent leadership and management skills.
Travel Requirements

Our clients, agents, and brokers are located in a nine-state area from Maryland to Mississippi, requiring this position to travel out of town 15-20% and occasionally more. Occasional trips are required for visiting with direct reports.
