TheOPPORTUNITY

The BMIC Premium Audit Processor is responsible for providing administrative and operational support to the Premium Audit team, with a focus on assisting Premium Audit Reviewers in the processing, review, documentation, and distribution of audit-related information. This role supports the timely and accurate handling of physical, virtual, mail, and online audits by maintaining audit documentation, processing information within applicable systems, communicating with internal and external customers, and helping ensure a positive customer experience throughout the premium audit process.

The success of our company is rooted in teamwork, the way we care about the people we work with and serve. This hybrid role will work in our Raleigh office a minimum of two days with the flexibility of working from home three days a week.

Your WORK as a Premium Audit Processor will make a differenceasyou:

  • Reviews and organizes premium audit documentation received from insureds, agents, auditors, vendors, and internal departments.
  • Assists Premium Audit Reviewers with audit workflow activities, including preparing files, gathering missing information, and routing audit materials for review.
  • Enters, updates, and maintains audit information in applicable policy administration and premium audit systems.
  • Reviews audit submissions for completeness and accuracy of required documentation, escalating questions or discrepancies to Premium Audit Reviewers or management as appropriate.
  • Assists with processing mail, online, voluntary, and physical audit information in accordance with established premium audit procedures.
  • Prepares, compiles, and distributes audit correspondence, forms, reports, and file documentation as needed.
  • Maintains an understanding of premium audit workflow and systems to identify processing errors and notify appropriate personnel for resolution.
  • Responds to routine customer service inquiries related to audit status, documentation requests, and general premium audit processes.
  • Maintains accurate records and supports reporting needs for the Premium Audit department.
  • Works collaboratively with Premium Audit Reviewers, field audit staff, underwriting, agents, and other internal departments to support audit processing needs.

Skills to get the JOB done RIGHT:

  • High School Diploma and 1-3 years of work experience in an office, insurance, audit support, or processing environment, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Proficient verbal and written communication, organizational, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficient in the use and knowledge of MS Office software.
  • Ability to perform basic mathematics and review documentation for completeness, accuracy, and consistency.
  • Excellent customer service skills and ability to communicate professionally with internal and external customers.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple deadlines, and respond quickly to changing priorities.
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information.
