SUMMARY

Responsible for supporting the Premium Accounting group and other departments relative to accounting reports and various accounting transactions. ย Act as a liaison by providing accounting solutions and analysis to internal and external customers. Performs all duties in accordance with all company policies and procedures, and all federal, state and local laws, wherein the Company operates.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Researches and reconciles Premium Accounting information using various systems and resources.
Reviews large volume of Accounts Receivable, Insurance Payable and Direct Bill transactions including cash receipts, disbursement, and other accounting transactions.
Reviews and researches high level and complex insurance carriers (and/or internal customers) inquiries, and meets deadlines on assigned advanced book of business.
Evaluates supporting documents for accuracy and compliance within corporate Accounting standards and/or audit guidelines.
Provides timely discrepancy resolutions with an emphasis on customer service and analysis.
Works closely with various Accounting departments and management team members to identify and offer solutions to problems and disputes related to Accounting functions;
Compiles internal statistical and historical data for various reporting requirements.ย  Participates in and supports all related and cross-functional initiatives.
Prepares analysis and reviews Accounts Receivable, Insurance Payable and Direct Bill reports or data for operation partners and team.
Assists in system conversion and other special assigned projects; .
Other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE
Bachelor's Degree in Finance or Accounting
Four (4) or more years of within a business or accounting environment
SKILLS
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Good planning, organizational and prioritization skills
Ability to work independently and efficiently
Demonstrates solid customer service focus
Demonstrates ability to take initiative and achieve results in a fast-paced and changing environment
Proficient in Microsoft Office products
