This role will be based in our Atlanta office, on an in-office basis. Regular in-office presence is required for day-to-day operations, as well as for team meetings, training opportunities, and relationship building. This role will be in-office at least four days a week and reports to the Senior Practice Development Manager.

Position Summary:

The Practice Development Senior Coordinator must be a diligent self-starter who is flexible, collaborative, resourceful, and focused on supporting the firm’s Pharmaceutical, Medical Device & Health Care Litigation and Products Liability & Mass Torts Practice Groups. Attention to detail, strong organizational skills (including an ability to prioritize), and the ability to communicate effectively, both written and verbal, are essential. This candidate must possess a strong client service orientation and an ability to develop relationships within the firm. The Practice Development Senior Coordinator will be responsible for contributing to a broad range of practice-specific business development and marketing activities, while working as an integral part of the global marketing and business development team.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Drafts, edits and distributes marketing materials, internal communication, press releases, seminar materials, client updates, and other related collateral, as needed
  • Compiles information and drafts submissions for directory and ranking authorities, such as Chambers USA, Legal 500, Benchmark Litigation, and local and regional award submissions
  • Works with practice group managers and litigation business development team on related proposal requests and RFPs
  • Assists practice group managers in the drafting of pitches and proposals and ensures timely delivery of high-quality materials
  • Creates and maintains records of the group’s experience in firm database
  • Assists in the execution and coordination of programs hosted or sponsored by the firm, such as webinars, CLE seminars, award ceremonies and other industry-related events
  • Helps ensure the flow of information from attorneys to marketing team, including as it relates to attorney biographies, practice area description updates, experience tracking, news and activities data, press releases, etc.
  • Collaborates with marketing professionals throughout the firm, including the communications team, marketing research team, RFP team, events team, and design team
  • Works with marketing research team to gather research and analysis on targets, industries, and judges for business development purposes
  • Assists in collecting, maintaining, and updating the practice groups’ information and documents in various content management systems, i.e. HighQ, proposal system, and server-based file software
  • Performs client, industry, prospect, and competitor research
  • Assists with other short- and long-term projects as assigned
Qualifications:
  • Skills & Competencies: A high level of energy and the ability to multi-task and prioritize
  • Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills, both written and oral
  • Demonstrated excellence in professional writing, including solid composition, research, and editing skills
  • Excellent technology skills

  • Experience and comfort to work under pressure in a fast-paced, deadline-based work environment

  • Ability to perform effectively in a service-oriented environment
  • Education & Prior Experience: Bachelor’s degree required
  • Candidate will have a minimum of 2-5 years’ experience in marketing or business development
  • High level of proficiency using Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
  • Experience at a law firm, legal marketing, or other professional services firm is preferred
  • Technology: Understanding of AI capabilities, limitations, and responsible use in a professional environment
  • Familiarity with, or willingness to learn, firm-approved AI tools (e.g., Copilot, ChatGPT, or similar platforms) to support daily workflow and/or improve work quality
Physical Requirements:
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to move from workstation or desk throughout the work area to work independently or with a team to meet with colleagues or supervisor and retrieve work assignments.
  • This position may also be sedentary and require the employee to sit for extended periods of time.
  • Requires manual dexterity to use a phone, enter data into a computer, handle objects, and use office equipment.
