Position Summary

The Personal Lines New Business Producer is responsible for building and continuously growing a personal client insurance portfolio by developing new business opportunities and cultivating long-term client relationships. This role conducts proactive insurance reviews, assesses risk exposures, and designs customized insurance solutions to meet each client's unique needs. The Producer presents and sells tailored insurance proposals while serving as a trusted advisor throughout the client relationship.

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:  

  • Relationship building - Creating a foundation of strong relationships that build trust and loyal clients from simple transactions and networking. (Some travel required)
  • Develop and work generated leads from one of the largest community banks in NJ, independently and through referrals from current client sources and center of influences
  • Conduct policy reviews & provide risk management recommendations
  • Quoting and designing proposal options with  our contracted carriers & provide presentation to the client(s).
  • Issue and bind policies for clients within the carrier portals and documenting in our agency management systems.
  • Collaborating with Service Team members daily to provide smooth transition from new sale to servicing of insurance portfolio by Account Manager. Including, but not limited to assisting with possible administrative tasks, post bind of new policy(s) with service member.

SKILLS AND TRAINING REQUIRED:

  • Strong Drive- Having resilience and inner motivation for success, not only achieving goals but exceeding them.
  • Goal Oriented- Ability to focus clearly on the end goal(s), set clear plans to deliver measurable results.
  • Confident, self-starter who works well independently as well as part of a team
  • Excellent Communication/Interpersonal skills
  • Must have ability to multi-task
  • Good organizational skills
  • Must be willing to obtain a Property & Casualty license, if currently do not hold.

WORK EXPERIENCE:

  • Experienced Insurance professional preferred but not required.
  • Previous sales preferred but not required.
  • 1-3 years customer service industry experience. Administrative work experience is helpful but not required.

EDUCATION:

  • High School Diploma required
  • Valid P&C License not required but preferred

 

LICENSES AND/OR CERTIFICATES:

  • Valid Driver's License
  • Valid Property & Casualty license preferred but not required

Pay Details:
$45,000 - $75,000/ annually


Please note, the base pay actually offered may vary based upon the candidate's skills and experience, job-related knowledge, education, geographic location, internal equity, and other applicable business and organizational needs.

This role is incentive eligible based upon company, business, and/or individual goal achievement and performance.
