Job description

Position Summary
The Crop Insurance Specialist supports AgCentric's policy administration function by reviewing, evaluating, and processing crop insurance applications in accordance with program guidelines and regulatory standards. This role requires strong technical knowledge of MPCI policies, attention to detail, and effective communication skills to ensure accurate and timely policy issuance. The Crop Insurance Specialist works closely with agents, insureds, and internal teams to uphold operational integrity and deliver high-quality service.
What will your job entail?
Job Responsibilities
  • Review crop insurance applications and policy documentation to ensure accuracy and compliance with federal and private program guidelines
  • Apply provisions of the Standard Reinsurance Agreement (SRA) and supplemental guidance to daily policy administration duties
  • Maintain organized and complete documentation trails for all underwriting actions and communications
  • Support internal control procedures by adhering to established underwriting protocols and flagging potential discrepancies
  • Assist in policy review and error tracking efforts in coordination with compliance and quality assurance teams
  • Participate in training sessions to stay current on crop insurance regulations, underwriting procedures, and system updates
  • Communicate effectively with agents, policyholders, and internal departments to resolve underwriting issues and ensure smooth policy administration
  • Contribute to cross-functional collaboration with claims, compliance, and accounting teams to support coordinated insurance operations
  • Other underwriting duties and projects as assigned

Work Experience and Education
  • Bachelor's degree preferred
  • 3+ years of experience participating in crop insurance underwriting and policy administration procedures

The target salary range for this position is $72,000.00 - $90,000.00 annually.
The wage range for this role considers many factors, such as training, transferable skills, work experience, licensure and certification, business needs, and market demands. The pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future. Full-time roles are eligible for bonuses and benefits.
