Job description

POSITION SUMMARY
The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) provides direct nursing care to medically fragile children in the Prescribed Pediatric Extended Care (PPEC) setting under the supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN). The LPN assists with treatments, medications, and care routines, ensuring patient safety, accurate documentation, and compliance with Florida PPEC regulatory standards.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
โ€ข Provide hands-on pediatric nursing care under RN supervision.
โ€ข Administer medications, perform treatments, and monitor patient response.
โ€ข Observe, record, and report changes in patient condition promptly.
โ€ข Maintain compliance with infection control, emergency response, and safety protocols.
โ€ข Participate in training, competency assessments, and continuous education.
โ€ข Support the interdisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
โ€ข Active Florida Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license.
โ€ข Current CPR certification.
