Job description

About the Role

Hunt's Services is looking for a PPC & Marketing Specialist to help bring paid search performance, reporting, and campaign accountability in-house.

This role is built around one primary need: owning and improving paid search performance across Google Ads, Local Services Ads, and related lead generation channels. The right person should be able to manage campaigns, understand the numbers, write clearly, and explain what is working, what is not, and what needs to change.

This role is replacing work currently handled by an outside PPC vendor, so it is important that the responsibilities stay tied to marketing performance, paid media management, lead generation, reporting, and campaign ROI. If we ever decide to return PPC management to a vendor in the future, we want the role structure and responsibilities to remain clear, measurable, and tied to marketing outcomes rather than becoming general overhead.

SEO, landing page work, tracking, ServiceTitan, automation, and marketing operations experience are all valuable, but the core need is someone who can own paid search performance and support better visibility into spend, lead quality, booked calls, revenue, and ROI.

What You'll Do

PPC / Paid Search

  • Build, manage, and optimize Google Ads campaigns across Plumbing, HVAC, Electrical, and Sewer.
  • Manage Google Local Services Ads and Google Guaranteed performance.
  • Monitor budgets, cost per lead, lead quality, conversion rates, and campaign ROI.
  • Improve campaign structure, keyword strategy, ad copy, landing page alignment, and lead quality.
  • Test campaigns, keywords, bidding strategies, offers, ad messaging, and landing pages.
  • Review campaign performance and clearly explain what is working, what is not, and what needs to change.
  • Help align marketing spend with department capacity, seasonality, and business priorities.
  • Support call tracking, conversion tracking, and attribution accuracy.

Reporting / Finance-Focused Marketing Accountability

  • Track marketing spend, lead volume, booked calls, cost per lead, revenue, and ROI.
  • Help build, maintain, and improve marketing performance dashboards.
  • Support reporting that connects marketing activity to real business outcomes.
  • Help leadership understand where marketing dollars are producing results and where adjustments are needed.
  • Identify gaps in tracking, attribution, campaign performance, and lead quality.
  • Support clear reporting around paid media performance so vendor replacement value can be measured over time.
  • Maintain visibility into campaign performance in a way that supports financial review, budget planning, and marketing expense accountability.

Writing / Communication

  • Write clear, conversion-focused ad copy.
  • Support landing page content, service page direction, and campaign messaging.
  • Help translate marketing performance into simple, clear internal updates.
  • Write in a way that is customer-focused, direct, and easy to understand.
  • Support seasonal offers, department-specific promotions, and lead generation campaigns.

SEO / Local Search Support

  • Support local SEO strategy across Plumbing, HVAC, Electrical, and Sewer.
  • Help improve Google Business Profile performance.
  • Support on-page SEO strategy for service pages and landing pages.
  • Assist with keyword research and competitor analysis.
  • Help improve organic rankings, traffic, and lead generation.
  • Monitor organic performance, website health, and technical SEO issues.

Website / Landing Page Support

  • Help create, test, and improve landing pages.
  • Support landing page structure, messaging, and conversion improvements.
  • Work with internal team members to improve website content and campaign alignment.
  • Basic WordPress, HTML, or CSS experience is helpful, but not required as the top priority.

Marketing Technology / Tracking Support

  • Support implementation and troubleshooting of pixels, forms, tracking, and attribution.
  • Help improve marketing operations across tools like Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, ServiceTitan, LSAs, and dashboard/reporting tools.
  • Experience with automation, integrations, AI tools, Peaka, Power BI, Zapier, ServiceTitan, or similar systems is a strong plus.

What We're Looking For

Required Skills

  • Hands-on Google Ads experience.
  • Google Analytics and Google Tag Manager experience.
  • Landing page testing or conversion rate optimization experience.
  • Experience managing and improving PPC campaign performance.
  • Strong understanding of cost per lead, conversion rates, lead quality, and ROI.
  • Ability to analyze campaign data and explain performance clearly.
  • Strong reporting and dashboard mindset.
  • Strong writing ability for ads, landing pages, service content, and internal updates.
  • Strong communication, organization, and follow-through.
  • Ability to manage multiple campaigns, priorities, and deadlines.
  • Comfortable being measured by results.

Highly Encouraged Skills

  • Local SEO experience.
  • Google Business Profile optimization experience.
  • Experience with Local Services Ads and Google Guaranteed.
  • Conversion tracking and call tracking experience.
  • Home services marketing experience.
  • ServiceTitan experience.
  • Marketing automation or integration experience.
  • Basic WordPress, HTML, or CSS knowledge.
  • Experience using AI tools to support marketing execution and analysis.

What Success Looks Like

  • Increased qualified leads.
  • Stronger paid search performance.
  • Lower cost per qualified lead.
  • Better conversion rates from ads and landing pages.
  • Better visibility into spend, booked calls, revenue, and ROI.
  • Stronger reporting and accountability.
  • Improved local SEO rankings and organic performance.
  • Clear communication around campaign performance.
  • Consistent growth across Plumbing, HVAC, Electrical, and Sewer.
  • Leadership can clearly see whether in-house PPC management is creating value compared to the previous vendor model.
