Job description

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Senior Marketplace PPC Associate based in Netherlands.

This is a hands-on performance marketing role focused on managing and optimizing paid media across Amazon Ads and other retail media platforms.
You will take ownership of campaign execution, bid management, budget pacing, keyword strategy, and performance optimization as marketplace investment grows.
The role combines detailed day-to-day execution with analytical reporting, allowing you to identify trends and act quickly on performance opportunities.
You will also play an important role in supporting major retail events, ensuring campaigns are prepared, closely monitored, and efficiently recovered afterward.
Cross-functional collaboration will be essential, particularly with performance marketing, SEO, merchandising, and marketplace teams.
The ideal candidate is highly organized, independent, and comfortable managing significant spend across multiple platforms without losing attention to detail.
This is an opportunity to grow into broader ownership of a marketplace channel or performance marketing program within a fast-scaling environment.

Accountabilities
  • Own bid management, budget pacing, negative keyword strategies, and search-term optimization across Amazon Ads and other retail media platforms.
  • Perform daily and weekly campaign optimizations to improve performance while protecting TACOS and ROAS targets.
  • QA new campaign launches, product detail page and advertising tags, account structures, and overall platform hygiene to prevent costly errors.
  • Build and maintain a consistent weekly and monthly reporting cadence covering performance across all active retail media platforms.
  • Monitor campaign performance, identify anomalies and pacing issues, and proactively communicate risks and opportunities.
  • Support major retail tentpole events such as Prime Day, Black Friday/Cyber Monday, and retailer-specific promotional events, including bid and budget preparation and post-event recovery.
  • Partner with the Marketplace PPC & Performance Marketing Manager on campaign prioritization, optimization strategy, and performance initiatives.
  • Collaborate with SEO and merchandising teams on product detail page and content readiness that can influence paid media performance.
  • Escalate account issues, policy violations, platform changes, and other marketplace risks quickly and clearly.
  • Help improve paid media processes and execution as new retail partners and platforms are added.
  • Contribute to bringing marketplace PPC management fully in-house through disciplined processes, reporting, and operational ownership.
Requirements
  • 3+ years of hands-on marketplace PPC experience, particularly across Amazon and ideally at least one additional retail media platform such as Walmart Connect, Target Roundel, Sam's MAP, Instacart Ads, or CVS Media.
  • Demonstrated experience independently managing meaningful advertising spend while consistently working toward TACOS and ROAS targets.
  • Experience supporting at least one major retail tentpole event, such as Prime Day or Black Friday/Cyber Monday, with an understanding of bid and budget management under high-pressure conditions.
  • Strong working knowledge of Amazon Ads Console and Seller Central and/or Vendor Central.
  • Ability to quickly learn and operate additional retail media platforms as marketplace coverage expands.
  • Strong Excel or Google Sheets skills, including pivot tables, dashboards, and performance analysis.
  • Experience using keyword and competitive research tools such as Helium 10 or DataHawk.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a focus on turning performance data into clear actions.
  • Highly detail-oriented and process-driven, with the ability to manage high volumes of precision work across multiple platforms.
  • Strong ownership mindset and the ability to work independently without requiring close supervision.
  • Clear and proactive communication skills, particularly when identifying performance issues, platform risks, or opportunities.
  • Ability to move quickly while maintaining accuracy and operational discipline.
  • Experience in CPG, health and wellness, or high-velocity e-commerce is a plus.
  • Familiarity with PPC automation platforms such as Pacvue, Teikametrics, Xnurta, or Quartile is an advantage.
Benefits
  • Targeted base salary of $100,000 plus bonus, depending on experience.
  • Competitive total compensation aligned with market data and experience.
  • Comprehensive benefits package supporting employee and family well-being.
  • Generous paid time off.
  • Free product subscriptions.
  • Additional health and wellness-focused perks.
  • Fully remote, high-trust working environment.
  • Biannual company off-sites for in-person team connection and collaboration.
  • Conference travel opportunities where applicable to support industry knowledge and professional development.
  • Opportunity to work on a growing retail media and marketplace performance program.
  • Strong potential for career growth and increased ownership of a channel or broader performance marketing program.
