What is a Power Platform job?

A Power Platform job involves working with Microsoft's Power Platform, which includes Power BI, Power Apps, Power Automate, and Power Virtual Agents. Professionals in this role design, develop, and manage solutions for automating workflows, creating custom business applications, analyzing data, and building AI-driven chatbots. They collaborate with stakeholders to enhance business processes using low-code/no-code tools. Common roles include Power Platform Developer, Consultant, and Administrator.

Which 5 jobs will remain after AI?

Power Platform professionals, such as Power BI developers, automation specialists, and low-code app creators, are likely to continue in demand because their roles involve designing, customizing, and managing business solutions that require human oversight and domain expertise. While AI can automate routine tasks, jobs that require complex problem-solving, strategic thinking, and interpersonal skills are less susceptible to automation. Skills in data analysis, process optimization, and understanding business needs will remain valuable in the evolving job market.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive in the Power Platform position, and why are they important?

To excel in a Power Platform role, you need a solid understanding of Microsoft Power Platform tools (Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI, and Power Virtual Agents), basic programming skills, and experience with data integration. Familiarity with Microsoft Dataverse, Office 365, SharePoint, Azure services, and certifications like Microsoft Certified: Power Platform Fundamentals are often required. Attention to detail, strong problem-solving abilities, and effective communication are vital soft skills, as the role frequently involves collaborating with stakeholders to design and implement solutions. These competencies allow you to efficiently create, deploy, and manage business solutions that drive process automation and data-driven decision-making.

What jobs in the US pay $300,000 a year?

In the Power Platform field, senior roles such as Power Platform Architect, Solution Architect, or Lead Consultant can reach or exceed $300,000 annually, especially with extensive experience, certifications, and leadership responsibilities. These positions often require advanced knowledge of Power Apps, Power Automate, and Power BI, along with strong business acumen and project management skills.

What are the most common challenges faced in a Power Platform role?

Professionals in Power Platform roles often face challenges such as integrating the platform with legacy systems, maintaining data security, and keeping up with frequent updates and new features. Adapting to changing business requirements and ensuring solutions remain scalable and maintainable are also common hurdles. To overcome these, strong technical skills, proactive communication with stakeholders, and a commitment to ongoing learning are essential. Working closely with both IT teams and end users helps ensure that developed solutions effectively address business needs while minimizing potential roadblocks.

Is PL 400 certification worth it?

For Power Platform professionals, the PL-400 certification validates skills in designing, developing, and implementing solutions using Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI, and Power Virtual Agents. It can enhance job prospects, demonstrate expertise, and potentially lead to higher salaries, especially in roles involving automation and data analysis. However, practical experience and project work are also highly valued in the field.

Job Description

We're building the go-to-market team for Base44, an AI-powered software development platform recently acquired by Wix. As our first Senior Tech Partnerships Manager, you'll be responsible for identifying, establishing, and nurturing strategic technology partnerships that accelerate our growth and amplify our platform's impact.

This role is ideal for a dynamic, relationship-driven professional who thrives in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment and is passionate about building ecosystems around pioneering AI technology. You'll play a foundational role in scaling our business, shaping our partner strategy, and working closely with both internal stakeholders and external partners. As our first partnerships leader, you'll collaborate with our founders and Wix leadership to maximize Base44's presence and value in the broader tech landscape.
Secure Key Partners: Pitch and close deals with tech vendors (like databases, payments, and CRMs) to expand our built-in features.

Align Product Roadmaps: Work with Base44 product teams to ensure partner APIs integrate smoothly into our "one-click" deployment system.

Drive Integration Launches: Coordinate with partners to launch new features and track user adoption metrics.

Improve Developer Tools: Collect technical feedback from partners to help our team improve Base44's SDKs and plug-in tools.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute Base44's technology partnerships strategy, identifying key partners to expand our built-in features.

  • Source, pitch, and establish alliances with leading technology vendors, including database, payment, and CRM platforms.

  • Negotiate and close partnership agreements that advance our business and technical objectives.

  • Collaborate with product and engineering teams to ensure partner APIs integrate smoothly into our deployment system.

  • Co-develop go-to-market initiatives and coordinate with partners to launch new integration features and track user adoption metrics.

  • Act as an advocate for partners internally, capturing technical feedback to help our team improve Base44's SDKs and developer tools.

Qualifications
  • 7+ years in partnerships, business development, or alliances at a B2B technology company, preferably in SaaS, AI, developer tools, or cloud platforms.

  • Proven track record of sourcing, negotiating, and managing successful technology partnerships that deliver measurable business outcomes.

  • Strong understanding of the SaaS and AI ecosystem, with experience working on integrations, APIs, and technical solution alignment.

  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills, with the ability to engage both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

  • Entrepreneurial, strategic thinker who can independently drive initiatives from concept to execution in a startup environment.

  • Experienced in cross-functional collaboration, working closely with sales, product, and leadership teams.

  • Familiarity with Salesforce or other CRM tools.

  • Bonus: Experience in developer relations, platform ecosystems, or building joint product integrations.

Additional Information

We're Base44, a newly acquired part of Wix, on a mission to change how software gets built. Our AI-powered platform allows anyone to create custom software applications using natural language-no traditional coding required. We operate like a startup within Wix: fast-moving, collaborative, and focused on solving complex problems with simple, elegant solutions.
