Job description

Lead Operations at Mi‑Tech Tungsten Metals

Step into a pivotal leadership role overseeing our Mill Products departments on 2nd and 3rd shifts. As the Operations Supervisor, you’ll orchestrate people, materials, and processes to deliver on-time results while upholding safety, quality, and standard work.

A day on your shift
  • Set clear job expectations; plan work, monitor progress, and evaluate results to keep production on track.
  • Serve as the first line of support for your team—solve problems quickly and maintain an efficient, orderly workflow.
  • Drive on-time delivery by managing material and part flow and maintaining tight control of inventory.
  • Coordinate workloads and schedule assignments across the Mill Products departments for balanced throughput.
  • Coach, counsel, and when necessary, discipline employees in alignment with company systems, policies, and procedures.
  • Oversee and conduct training for new hires and experienced team members to build skills and reinforce best practices.
  • Ensure accurate, timely production reporting to inform decisions and measure performance.
  • Continuously pursue cost reductions by optimizing resources, improving efficiencies, and applying creative staffing strategies.
What you bring
  • Ability to work 2nd and 3rd shift.
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Associate degree in a technical field or equivalent education preferred.
  • Background in powdered metals manufacturing or machining.
  • 5+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • 2+ years of supervisory experience preferred, or equivalent training/education.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel.
