One of our manufacturing clients is seeking a skilledMetallurgy Specialist to support product development and material analysisat their facility in Fort Wayne, IN

Pay Rate:$85k - $105k

Shift:Days

Responsibilities:

  • Analyze and evaluate metallic materials and product performance

  • Conduct metallurgical testing, failure analysis, and root cause investigations

  • Support product development and material selection processes

  • Review material specifications, heat treatment processes, and quality standards

  • Collaborate with engineering, quality, and production teams to improve product reliability and manufacturability

  • Interpret metallurgical data and prepare technical reports and documentation

  • Support customer and supplier quality investigations related to material performance

  • Ensure compliance with industry standards, specifications, and safety regulations

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Metallurgical Engineering, Materials Science, Mechanical Engineering, or related field

  • 3+ years of experience in metallurgy, materials engineering, or manufacturing environment

  • Strong knowledge of ferrous and non-ferrous metals, heat treatment, and material properties

  • Experience with metallurgical testing methods and failure analysis techniques

  • Experience in automotive, aerospace, foundry, forging, or heavy manufacturing industries

  • Familiarity with microscopy, hardness testing, and laboratory equipment

  • Knowledge of ISO, ASTM, or other material standards
