Materials Intern

Dana is a global leader in the supply of highly engineered driveline, sealing, and thermal-management technologies that improve the efficiency and performance of vehicles with both conventional and alternative-energy powertrains. Serving two primary markets – passenger vehicle and commercial truck – Dana provides the world's original-equipment manufacturers and the aftermarket with local product and service support through a network of nearly 100 engineering, manufacturing, and distribution facilities.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

Dana Incorporated is seeking to fill a Manufacturing Materials position for the 2026 Spring, Summer, and Fall time period at our manufacturing facility in Ft. Wayne, Indiana. This is a great opportunity to develop your technical skills by working alongside Dana's Materials Planners and Scheduler in the completion of departmental oriented tasks, projects, and assignments.

  • Enrollment & active pursuit of a Bachelor in supply chain management, operations management, business, and/or related field.
  • Proven work experience, strong analytical ability, & excellent mechanical aptitude.
  • Self-directed & motivated individual with great organizational skills.
  • Willing to do multiple assignments.
  • Good oral & written communication skills.
  • Must be able to interface in a team environment.
  • Troubleshoot manufacturing issues.
  • Assist with manufacturing process improvements.
  • Participate in quality review and corrective action implementation.
Material Planning/Production Scheduling
  • Assist with monitoring inventory level, and analysis of material requirements.
  • Review material position to determine any shortages and assist in developing recovery plans.
  • Support cycle count and root cause analysis for inventory discrepancies.
  • Assist with schedule and help resolve scheduling conflicts or delays.
  • Help analyze constraints and purpose schedule adjustments and corrective actions.
  • Work on improvement projects for scheduling activities.
