Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced travel RN for a Labor & Delivery (LDRP) position in Key West, FL, requiring prior travel experience and a valid FL or compact RN license.

Details
  • Labor and Delivery (LDRP) unit in an acute care hospital setting in Key West, FL
  • Patient care spans antepartum, intrapartum, immediate postpartum, and neonatal phases of obstetrical care
  • Day shift schedule: 7:00 AM โ€“ 7:00 PM
  • 12-week contract
  • Floating to other units required based on facility needs
Requirements
  • Active FL RN license or compact RN license currently in hand
  • Current certifications required: BLS, ACLS, and NRP
  • PALS required; may be obtained within 30 days of start if not currently held
  • AWHONN preferred; can be completed onsite if not already obtained
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in L&D, postpartum, nursery, or mother/baby nursing
  • Minimum 2 prior travel assignments required
  • No certifications expiring within the first 30 days of the assignment start
  • AHCA compliance required for FL placement
  • Valid driver's license required for consideration
Additional Information
  • Provides nursing care across the full obstetrical continuum, including antepartum, intrapartum, postpartum, and neonatal care
  • Demonstrates critical thinking, clinical judgment, and leadership in planning and delivering safe patient care
  • Delegates and supervises patient care assignments based on staff education and experience
  • Maintains clinical competencies through continuing education
  • Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility; local candidates are not eligible
  • Candidates must secure housing within 50 miles of the facility prior to acceptance and provide the address
  • Blocked scheduling requests cannot be accommodated
  • RTO requests must be less than one week in duration
  • Candidates must have no gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months
  • Candidates who have worked at any CHS facility as permanent staff within the past 2 years are not eligible for this position
